The Midwest Climber’s Festival was born out of a desire to create a series of events that strengthens the local climbing community and offers an opportunity to share area information, beta and stories.

Our festival started as the Boulder Bash in 2008 and slowly morphed into the premier outdoor bouldering competition in the Midwest.  As that event grew, the WCA felt the need to expand on it so in 2015 the Devil’s Lake bouldering competition was added to the mix with a phenomenal reception.

In 2016 the decision was made to combine the two events into one series centered around the best season of the year, Fall.  Additionally, a Trad climbing competition has been added to the Devil’s Lake event and the second stop of the festival will be run in conjunction with the American Alpine Club’s Craggin’ Classic.

As things move forward the Midwest Climbing Festival will grow into something bigger and bigger so keep your eyes here for updates!  For individual information on either the Governor Dodge or Devil’s Lake events please use the pulldown menu at the top.
